  • To help children understand the effects of racism, and feelings of a victim of racism.

  • To understand why racism takes place, and in what ways.

  • To discuss, and help pupils themselves to realize the need to eradicate all sorts of racism and combat the arrival of any sort of racism.

  • To help staff and teachers understand what is racism.

  • To train staff to notice and detect racism, and advice how to react to it.

  • To help develop pupils to develop respect for all races, religions and cultures.

  • To help give an understanding of a variety of cultural traditions and religious beliefs.

  • To leave the participant with a richer knowledge of many different cultures, religions and races, to understand their participation in society, to understand the immorality in racism, the need to respect all other races.

  • To tackle anti-social behaviour including bullying, graffiti, litter, noise pollution, truancy and juvenile crime.

  • To introduce career planning and the detrimental effects to career prospects anti-social behaviour can bring. The consequences of anti-social behaviour, truancy and juvenile crime are very well illustrated in David's story, a video interview of a young man which is part of the RCA curriculum.
